Description:
The weld deposit of Welding Metals E316L-16 electrodes is similar to that of Type E316-16, except the carbon is limited to a maximum of 0.04%. Precise control of the carbon content in Weldcote Metals E316L-16 electrodes provides a weld deposit matching the corrosion resistant qualities of Type 316L stainless steel. The extra low carbon content reduces the possibility of carbide precipitation and consequent intergranular corrosion.
Application:
1.For welding or repairing alloy 316L
2.Overlay of Carbon and low alloy steels to achieve a Cr-Ni Mo stainless steel (E309L-16 and E316L-16).
3.Deposit composition of E316L has Chromium, Nickel and Molybdenum for better corrosion resistance than E308L-16
4.Low Ferrite E316L-16 has been used for low temperature (cryogenic) service.
Introduction:
E308L-16 is a kind of ultra-low-carbon Cr18Ni12Mo2 stainless steel electrode with lime-titania type coating. The carbon
content of the deposited metal is lower than or equal to 0.04%. It has excellent heat-resistance, corrosion-resistance,
crack-resistance, blowhole-resistance and welding performance. The coating has red-resistance and high strength. AC/DC.
Usage:
Used for welding equipment of urea, synthetic fiber, etc. and stainless steel structures of the same types, and also used
for Cr stainless steel which does not need heat treatment after welding, composite steel, dissimilar steel, etc.
